The Honey Bee: A Nature Marvel

Honey bees are flying insects known for their ability to produce and store honey and make nests from wax. They are social insects, living in colonies that can contain up to 80,000 bees. The colony is ruled by a single queen bee, who is the only fertile female.

Worker bees are all female and do all the work in the hive. They clean the hive, feed the larvae, and forage for nectar and pollen. Male bees are called drones, and their only job is to mate with the queen.
